Crawdad....ON!

Coop and I went crawdad fishing at Strawberry Lake. We LOVE this! We tagged along with Kristen and Mark, the cousins, and another family whom we just met from Oregon....awesome! Chase had a tourny this weekend so Curt and Blake were doing the baseball thing and since I am all baseballed out (so is Coop getting dragged to ALL his bro's games), me and the boy had some "enjoy the day off" time:) I did miss the Chaser play'in some good ball, but he has his Daddy. I'm so grateful he is always there to support and coach the boys.

*The best part of my day was Cooper saying "MOM! I'm soooo glad you're my mom and not someone else because you see all the big ones...you have such a good eye....you're the best!" It's a gift Coop, what can I say? Some got it, some don't:) I'm the lucky one though, I love this boy so much I can't sleep at night.

Flea Market! Woot!

Curt planned a day for us to go downtown SLC for the flea market. So fun! I remember we used to go to the one in Packwood, WA years ago:) Love the sweet finds and people. Curt and I hit a coffee shop, strolled the market, bought some shi...stuff, went to lunch and stopped at a few other unique shops downtown. Good times.

This aint just any old hat...it's straight up from Puerto Rico. The guy said so himself? Haha

NO LIE....I owned this jacket in Jr. High. It fit me a little better back then. Small? When was that?

Curtis (I finally figured it out) bought me this exact watch for my Birthday many many years ago. I'm pretty sure it was the first gift he gave me....other than Blake. Haha JK.

Cooper asked the other day why we didn't have any pictures of Jesus in the house. So, when we saw this, we HAD to get it for the Coopster....5 bucks baby! It lights UP for crying out loud!! Curtis picked it up and goes "Jeeezus Chrrrist!" Is it not the most hideous thing you've ever seen? The guy (same as my hat) said it got him through many years....hahaha. I have a feeling it will get Coop through some too;)

Welp, funs over. I have a paper to write by midnight. My last one was submitted at 11:57 p.m. WURD! I.AM.AWESOME.

Utah!

What has made an impact on you lately?...........
A few things have thrown me for a loop lately....but I would consider our move here to Utah to have made a big impact on me, and consequently, my family. If you had told me even 5 yrs. ago that we would be living here, I'd have said "not in a million years would that ever happen." Mostly because of how strongly Curtis was against it for our whole married life. I feel like I say this all the time, but all things happen for a reason. We don't need to know the reason, understand, or agree with it. All we need to know is that whatever happened, was suppose to happen. I actually find comfort in that......takes off a lot of pressure. So, what Im getting at is... I don't know why or how we ended up here, I just know that it has impacted me in more ways than one. Personally, career wise, opportunity, family, environment, perspective, culture....all of it.

This is what I love about this place.....The Mountains! Amazing!

Antelope Island

We wanted to get Tonje (Kristen's exchange student) to some last minute spots here in Utah before she leaves. The little boys and I tagged along for the drive today and it was a blast. Even the awkward stop at Smith's (some sketchy peeps in Syracuse) was fun. Except, I guess we fit in with Mark, his two wives, and 5 kids running around:) And, now I have a new fave coffee shop that I will have to make special trips just to go see the best Baristo and have a Bob Marley...extra coconut! Do you know how hard it is to find a cute, little, corner coffee shop around here? It rained the first part and we had a picnic in the car, but it brightened up for the drive home:) The boys loved watching out for Antelope and Bison.....other than that, not much on Antelope island! Oh! did you know that this island has some of the oldest rock in the world??? Bet not. Interesting..... :)

Serious?!

It's nearly May! The boys were covered in snow from their walk home and school is like a block away. Mom making it home in time to pick up her kids....FAIL! It didn't occur to me there would be a blizzard. I wanna puke. This shouldn't be a surprise to me considering the week it's been. Baseball should be fun tomorrow (sarcasm). Hey, not all blog posts are uplifting. Can you tell that weather has a significant affect on me? (so do kids singing in church, but that's not the point) If I lived in Hawaii, I'd be delighful all the time......just say'in.

Hiking

One of the perks of living in Utah is the unlimited activities to do outside and in the mountains. Curtis + 6 kids + hike to falls = sore muscles from butt to calves. They did have a good time though. A little disappointed in the falls, but that may be cause it was more of a climb than planned.....so, naturally expecting wonders! Cooper kept saying "I have 200 energies left....I have 120 energies left...." until the end when he had "zero energies left."
