You Know You're a Daddy When....

--the first time you see them you see parts of yourself and know you would move heaven and earth for them

--It doesn't feel right taking a nap on the couch unless you have a baby boy on your chest

--you change your son's diaper thinking it's a piece of cake and get pee'd on

--you wake up your son so you can wrestle...and he's only 6 months old

--time to yourself means throwing catch in the backyard

--going fishing means untangling fishing lines, lures, and rebaiting every cast...you your pole is still in the truck.

--a plate of nachos is always shared

--date night is popping homemade popcorn and watching Sandlot

--T-ball is the highlight of your week

--you laugh because you just yelled at your son for breaking one of moms decorations, while rough housing, and you did the same thing when you were his age and tried to fix it with a shitty glue job.

--money is saved for a "vacation" yet never used for intended purpose because it's spent on new bats, gloves, league fee's, basketball shoes, tournaments, uniforms, bags, etc.

--Your last vacation was your honeymoon...and when you tell people you are going on vacation, you mean a baseball or basketball tournament

--The last time you watched a game "for fun" was when you watched the Sandlot on "date night"

--you actually spend hours doing research and dedicate time/effort in not losing to your son in fantasy football

--socks aren't your own....they are shared ages 8-17

--your costco bill totals a mortgage pmt.

--your mortgage pmt. can't be made if you went to costco:)

--if you are not at work, you are driving boys to practice, coaching a game, refereeing so they can be in sports, making them dinner or doing their laundry.

--you can't remember the last time you were alone

--when, by some small chance or phenomenon, you and your wife are alone without the kids...you both think of big plans together....but fall asleep

--you can list all the sacrifices you have made for them, but realize none of them matter in comparison to the joy they have brought you and you would do it a million times over

--you wake up one day and your son is taller than you

--seeing them go through struggles and trials with school, friends, sports, family, etc...is both heart wrenching and profound in the manner in which they overcome

--and the number ONE way you know you're a daddy is when 3 little boys, once babies on your chest...call you and will only know you by your name...Dad

I am overwhelmed by the passion, dedication, and love Curt has for our boys. From day one, all he ever does is for them. I honestly can't remember the last time he has done something solely for himself. I have 3 very blessed boys and one awesome man! I love you, Curt:)

A couple of my fave pics of Curt and the boys....

I am happy for every moment i get to see Curt interact with his boys and how they learn so much from him...
